If you have a wordpress blog on your website and are looking to change your hosting provider, first take a backup of your database from the control panel (in our case it is cPanel) – we used PHPMyAdmin to export the database.
Now, upload all the contents that you have at your old hosting provider to your new web hosting account. You need to restore the database of the old hosting provider to your new hosting account – which can be done from your cPanel control panel. Re-check your database settings in wp-config.php file.
